Wednesday, February 27th

The word on the Oklahoma City Philharmonic's 5th Classics Series concert featuring the ever COOL virtuoso percussionist Colin Currie in Jennifer Higdon's Concerto for Percussion and Orchestra, Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man and excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake is Motion and Emotion!  I talked to Colin and he offered terrific comments about "his hankering of adventure in music," about having an open mind and not necessarily trying to connect the dots in a first hearing of a new work, and his early love of progressively inventive music maker and dreamers. Colin Currie and the OKC Philharmonic!  Don't miss this show airing on Wednesday evening, February 27th!
