Mezzo-soprano Alice Coote (Hansel) and coloratura soprano Aleksandra Kurzak (Gretel) dazzle in the Met’s wickedly funny production, performed in English.

A favorite opera is scheduled for this weekend! Giacomo Pucchini’s “Madama Butterfly,” Anthony Minghella’s stunning production and Metropolitan Opera broadcast will be aired at noon this Saturday with host Lane Whitesell. Soprano Patricia Racette performs the title role.
