With its cataclysmic climax, the Metropolitan Opera’s new Ring cycle come to its resolution in Richard Wagner’s Gotterdammerung, presented Saturday at 11 a.m., hosted by KCSC’s Lane Whitesell. The opera stars soprano Deborah Voigt (pictured) as Brunnhilde and tenor Jay Hunter Morris as Siegfried.

This Saturday’s Metropolitan Opera broadcast presents charismatic soprano Anna Netrebko starring in Gaetano Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena,” beginning at 11 a.m. Join KCSC opera host Lane Whitesell for this 3 ½ hour portrayal of the ill-fated queen driven insane by her unfaithful king. Ms. Netrebko sings one of opera’s greatest mad scenes in this premiere production.
