Dear Members and Listeners,
This month we are introducing some programming changes that we
hope you’ll like.
Many of you remember Adventures in Good Music
with Karl Haas which we aired on KCSC for more than 20 years until
Karl died. Some of you might be aware of Exploring Music with Bill
McGlaughlin which we broadcast evenings at 7:00 pm. Well, we’ve
decided to air Exploring Music twice a day with the first broadcast
at 11:00am, where Adventures used to be. We think you’ll enjoy a
program about music during the day that will give you insight into
the music you love.
Some of you might be thinking “Then what happens
to Filmscapes on Friday.” Filmscapes is not going away, it will
simply be moving to 2:00 pm Friday as a nice “pick-me-up” on the way
to the weekend.
Also somewhat different this month, since we do
not have two hours worth of chamber music that we can present on
Sunday mornings, we will be adding the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra
for 13 weeks in the 10:00 am hour. By fall (October) Chamber Music
from Lincoln Center and the Santa Fe Chamber Music series should
return for a new season.
