Lane A. Whitesell began his radio career at KGOU in 1974 by taking the dare of the station manager to get a license and do the job of Sunday night classics better than the rock and roll disc jockeys who were doing it at the time. He joined KCSC at Brad Ferguson's request in 1988 after a career in the restaurant business. He currently teaches chemistry at UCO, does a small amount of catering, and runs an on-line second-hand book dealership when he is not working on maintenance of the KCSC library.
