Barbara Hendrickson
Barbara Hendrickson was born in Arlington, Texas and raised in Oklahoma City. She earned a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Oklahoma. While there, she worked at NPR station KGOU in various capacities, including classical and jazz announcer and public service director. She joined the staff of KCSC in 1997. Barbara hosted and produced Filmscapes, a nationally syndicated weekly movie music program, from 1999 to 2004. She revived a shorter-form version of the show, Filmscapes Intermission, which aired 2006-2007. Barbara's favorite film music composers include Bernard Herrmann, Danny Elfman, Carter Burwell, and Franz Waxman. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family, and is also an ardent supporter of local music.
