Lane A. Whitesell began his radio career at KGOU in 1974 by taking the dare of the station manager to get a license and do the job of Sunday night classics better than the rock and roll disc jockeys who were doing it at the time. He joined KCSC in 1988 after a career in the restaurant business. He currently teaches chemistry at UCO, does a small amount of catering, and runs an on-line second-hand book dealership when he is not working on maintenance of the KCSC library.
